Mark Daughhetee has been making and exhibiting art for nearly 50 years. With over 150 exhibitions to his credit he has participated in shows in 14 U.S. states, Russia and the former Soviet Far East, including solo exhibitions in Alaska, California, Texas and Washington.
In 1984 he received an Individual Artist Fellowship from the Alaska State Council on the Arts. In 1986 he was selected as Alaska’s sole representative at the Third Western States Exhibition organized by the Western States Arts Foundation in cooperation with the Brooklyn Museum. His work is included in numerous public and private collections including, The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston; The Museum of Northwest Art, La Conner, Washington; The Anchorage Museum, Anchorage, Alaska, and The Alaska State Museum, Juneau, Alaska.
A native of Los Angeles, Mark moved to Juneau, Alaska in 1977, where he served as the Curator of Exhibitions for the Alaska State Museum from 1991 through 2006.
He now lives in Seattle.
